I love this old photo (It's also in the header). It's fun to look at the faces and remember when things were a bit different. I've tried to make a list of the people in the picture but some I can't recognize. I would love it if you could help me complete the list and make corrections where they are needed.
Do you know who the people in this photo are? What year was it taken?

I believe the second photo is Ruth on the left.
It says on the picture that it is Ruth, Elma, and Edgar.
Hey Dad,
Why don't you tell us a story about Ruth, Elma and Edgar Dunn????
Edgar was my home teaching companion when I was growing up. He took me to visit Stanley and Ruth Holman, and Otho and Louise Bagwell. I enjoyed Uncle Edgar. He was always kind.
Ruth had two birthdays. Her parents could not agree on the date that she was born. Grandma said that she should know because she was at the birth. Grandpa insisted that it was a different day. As a result, she had one date on her church records and a different date on her legal records.
One day when Betty and I were at the cabin with Ruth and Uncle Bill, she told us about the day they eloped to get married. Apparently the sherrif in San Luis was shot to death that day and his body was on display at the courthouse.
Elma was like a grandmother to me. She lived right across the street from us. I cannot count the times that she listened to me as I complained about things. She always treated me with kindness and gave me good counsel. I believe that Elma went to college here in Colorado Springs at Colorado College. It may have been here that she met Uncle Boyd, but I'm guessing.
I was most sad when Elma died. I was sad too when Edgar died. Ruth is still with us, but probably not for long. Elma was helpful to us all during the time we lived in Manassa.
Do you have the list of people's names for the group photo? I can tell you my Dad, Allen Forsyth and his brother, Donald Forsyth (Ethel and Don's sons). Allen is in the middle left with a deer sweater on. He's about 11 in this picture. Donny Forsyth is bottom middle-right. He has a cowboy shirt on. Dark on top, lighter on bottom. He's standing next to a boy who also has a deer sweater on. I'd love a copy of the original picture, if you have it. My email is pbmeline@verizon.net and I'm Rebecca Meline.
Search for "the mask" within the blog and you will find a list of the people in the photo.
